Question 1

Is reverse-engineering a competitor's ad allowed?

Accepted Answer

You are extracting the technique, not the asset: the lighting, the framing, the structure. That is what a creative team does with a swipe folder already. Generate your own product and your own claim, and do not reproduce their logo, their talent or their copy.

Question 2

How is this different from asking an AI image tool for an ad?

Accepted Answer

The prompt. A blank prompt box gives you whatever the model considers an average ad, which is exactly why generated creative looks generated. Starting from a reference that is already running means starting from something the market has tested.

Question 3

Can I keep the prompts my team lands on?

Accepted Answer

Yes, that is the point of the library. A saved prompt is reusable input, so the next campaign is a rerun with changed variables rather than a fresh brief.
