AI Image Generator - Text to Image with 6 AI Models
Generate images from text prompts using 6 AI models: Nano Banana 2 (Google Gemini 3.1 Flash), Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini 3 Pro), GPT Image (OpenAI gpt-image-2), Grok Imagine Pro (xAI), Seedream 5.0 (ByteDance), and Kling 3.0 Image (Kuaishou). Create professional artwork, illustrations, and visuals instantly.
Two Ways to Create: Text to Image and Image to Image
The AI Image Generator has two input modes. Text to Image creates a brand-new image from a written prompt using any of the six models. Image to Image (img2img) lets you upload an existing photo and transform it with a prompt - restyle a photo as a watercolor or oil painting, change the background, turn a rough sketch into a finished render, or reimagine a product shot in a new setting. Image to Image is supported by Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, and GPT Image, and the model list filters automatically when you switch tabs so you only see compatible models. Image to Image reimagines the whole picture, which is different from the AI Image Editor's targeted edits like object removal and background swaps - use Image to Image to transform, the editor to tweak.

Tips for Better Results
- Use Image to Prompt for Inspiration - Upload a reference image to extract a detailed prompt, then use it as a starting point here. Refine and tweak it to get exactly what you want.
- Start From an Image, Not Just Text - Switch to the Image to Image tab to upload a photo and transform it with a prompt: restyle it, change the background, or reimagine the whole scene. It is the fastest way to remix a shot you already have rather than describing one from scratch.
- Be Specific About Composition - Describe foreground, midground, and background separately. Mention camera angle (eye-level, bird's eye, low angle) and framing (close-up, wide shot, centered).
- Specify Art Style Clearly - Include the medium in your prompt: "oil painting", "35mm film photograph", "digital illustration", "watercolor", "3D render", or "pencil sketch" for distinct results.
- Include Lighting Details - Lighting transforms the mood. Try "golden hour sunlight", "dramatic studio rim lighting", "soft overcast daylight", or "neon city glow at night" in your prompts.
- Iterate with the AI Image Editor - Generate a base image here, then refine it with prompt-based editing. Fix details or change specific elements without regenerating from scratch.
- Try Different Models and Compare - Each model interprets prompts differently. Run the same prompt through 2-4 models at once with the AI Image Model Comparison tool and compare them side by side. Nano Banana 2 is fast for drafts, then use Seedream 5.0, GPT Image, or Kling 3.0 for the final version.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the AI image generator work? You write a text prompt describing the image you want, select an AI model and aspect ratio, then click Generate. The AI model interprets your prompt and creates a unique image from scratch. The entire process takes 10-30 seconds depending on the model and complexity.
What AI models are available? Six models are available: Nano Banana 2 (Google Gemini 3.1 Flash, fast and high quality), Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini 3 Pro, premium quality with text rendering), GPT Image (OpenAI gpt-image-2, photorealistic), Grok Imagine Pro (xAI, creative and artistic), Seedream 5.0 (ByteDance, 4K studio-quality output), and Kling 3.0 Image (Kuaishou, ultra-HD professional renders).
How many credits does image generation cost? The base cost is 5 AI Credits per image. Different models have multipliers: Nano Banana 2 costs 5 credits (1x), GPT Image, Grok Imagine Pro, Seedream 5.0, and Kling 3.0 Image cost 8 credits (1.5x), and Nano Banana Pro costs 10 credits (2x). Your current AI Credit balance is shown on the page.
What image sizes and aspect ratios are supported? Five aspect ratios are available: Square (1:1), Landscape (16:9), Portrait (9:16), Standard (4:3), and Tall (3:4). All images are generated at high resolution and delivered as PNG files.
Can I use generated images commercially? Yes. Images you generate are yours to use for personal and commercial purposes, including marketing, social media, products, and publications. Each AI provider has their own usage policies, so review those for specific commercial use cases.
How do I write better prompts? Be specific about subject, style, mood, lighting, and composition. Instead of "a cat", try "a fluffy orange tabby cat sitting on a windowsill, golden hour sunlight streaming through the window, soft bokeh background, 35mm film photography style." Use the Image to Prompt tool on reference images for inspiration.
What's the difference between Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro? Nano Banana 2 uses Google's Gemini 3.1 Flash model, it is fast, affordable, and ranked number 1 in image generation benchmarks. Nano Banana Pro uses the Gemini 3 Pro model which produces even higher quality results, handles complex scenes better, and can render legible text within images. Pro costs 2x more credits but delivers noticeably better quality for detailed prompts.
Can I transform an existing image instead of starting from text? Yes. Switch to the Image to Image tab, upload your photo, and describe the change you want. The model reimagines your image based on your prompt - restyle a photo as a watercolor, change the background, turn a rough sketch into a finished render, or give a product shot an entirely new look. Image to Image is supported by Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana Pro, and GPT Image.
What is the difference between Image to Image and the AI Image Editor? Image to Image reimagines the whole picture in a new style or scene, so the result can differ a lot from your source image. The AI Image Editor makes targeted edits - removing an object, swapping a background, or fixing one detail - while keeping the rest of the image intact. Use Image to Image when you want to transform, and the editor when you want to tweak.
Which models support Image to Image? Three models accept an uploaded source image: Nano Banana 2 and Nano Banana Pro (Google Gemini) and GPT Image (OpenAI). Seedream 5.0, Kling 3.0, and Grok Imagine Pro are text-to-image only. The model list updates automatically when you switch to the Image to Image tab, so you only ever see compatible models.
Can I compare different AI models on the same prompt? Yes. Each model interprets a prompt differently, so it pays to try a few. The AI Image Model Comparison tool runs one prompt through up to four models at once and shows the results side by side, so you can judge quality, style, and prompt-following at a glance and pick the best one.
Can I edit the generated image afterward? Yes. Download your generated image and upload it to the AI Image Editor tool for prompt-based editing and inpainting.
How is this different from DALL-E or Midjourney? Prompt Reverse gives you access to multiple AI models in one place, including OpenAI's GPT Image, Google's Gemini models, and xAI's Grok. You can compare outputs from different models on the same prompt. Plus, it is integrated with our full suite of image tools for editing, background changes, and more.
Are there any content restrictions? Yes. All AI models have built-in safety filters that block harmful, violent, explicit, or misleading content. If your prompt triggers a safety filter, you will see a message asking you to try a different prompt. These restrictions are enforced by the AI providers and cannot be bypassed.
