Reshoot your whole catalogue in one lighting setup

Settle the light on one product, save it, then generate every other SKU in exactly that setup so the catalogue finally matches itself.

A photographer charges per product, and the fiftieth shot never quite matches the first anyway. One saved setup applied across the catalogue costs the same for item five hundred as it did for item two.

Why this will not look generic: Every SKU inherits the same saved lighting description, so a hundred products read as one catalogue rather than as a hundred separate shoots that happened to use the same backdrop.

What you walk away with

  • A studio setup settled once and saved
  • Every SKU shot in that setup
  • A catalogue that holds together when you scroll it
  • The setup kept, so next season's additions still match

Typical run: 50 to 5,000 products. Rate limited to 60 requests a minute per account, so a large catalogue is an overnight job rather than a parallel burst. Full-resolution originals land in your library.

How it works

  1. Settle the setup on one product - Get one SKU genuinely right by hand. Automating a look you have not approved just produces the wrong thing five hundred times.
  2. Save the setup - Reverse the shot you approved. This description is what every other SKU inherits, and what next season matches against.
  3. Run the catalogue through it (In your code) - One call per SKU, the saved setup appended to each product's own description.

Why not just send them to a photographer?

For twenty products, do. The arithmetic changes somewhere around a hundred, and so does the problem you are actually trying to solve.

  • Consistency is the hard part, not quality. A good photographer gives you a hundred good photographs. Keeping the key light in the same place across a shoot that spans weeks, and matching it again next season when you add forty products, is the part that reliably fails. A saved description does not drift between sessions.
  • The cost stops scaling with the catalogue. Per-product pricing means your catalogue size sets your photography budget. Here the expensive part is settling the look once; everything after that is per-image credits, which is a different shape of cost entirely.
  • Next season is the same command. The setup is saved, so adding products later is not a new shoot and does not need the original photographer to still be available or to remember what they did.

Still worth a photographer for hero imagery and anything where material texture is the sale. This is for the long tail that currently has none.
