Avatars, empty states, category art and cover images, all generated from one style token so the app looks designed before it is finished.
The alternative is grey boxes until launch, or stock that was picked one at a time and does not agree with itself. Both read as unfinished, and the second one costs money.
Why this will not look generic: Every asset is generated from the same saved style token, so forty placeholders belong to one app rather than being forty separately plausible images.
Typical run: 20 to 100 across an app. Generated images come back downscaled; the full-resolution originals land in your library, so pull them from there rather than from the API response.
Point it at: One image that already looks the way you want the whole app to feel.
What comes back (representative example): A flat vector illustration in a two-colour system, deep indigo on warm bone, with a single geometric motif and no gradients or texture anywhere. Line weight is consistent at roughly four pixels throughout. One accent in burnt orange appears exactly once per composition, always at the focal point. Shapes are hard-edged and generously spaced, with the composition deliberately asymmetric and about forty percent of the frame left empty. Nothing is rendered or shaded. It reads clearly at small size precisely because there is nothing competing in the frame.
Things you would never have thought to type:
What you change: The subject of each asset. Everything about the system stays, which is the entire reason the set hangs together.
